With Lucas Eskinazi. Two-Channel Video Installation, 3.40 minutes. Blade-sharpener is a visual research on the concepts of manual work and its relevance to audiovisual montage. To this end, two itinerant blade-sharpeners were recorded on the streets of Brazil and India. The sequence of images aims to demonstrate the daily characteristics of this manual work, its haptic materiality and its physical gesture. In this sense, this common relationship is not only limited to the two blade-sharpeners but also to the audiovisual medium as a practice that implies craftsmanship.
