Book of Sand
Book of Sand conveys wanderings and pilgrimages to the Arabian Peninsula, Jordan, and Palestine. Moved by the quest of understanding the Islamic traditions merged into the Neoliberal political and economical order, I have undertaken visual research on its utmost transitory landscape. Sacred places, desertic solitude, urban growth, and personal episodes are assembled in an embodiment that reflects upon the production of the photo-essay as a hybrid genre, anchored in a subjective notion of time and space.
